Barwa is a small village of 1315 hectares in Bassi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barwa depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Barwa's pin code is 303305[4], and village code is 01623600. The area of Barwa is segregated as 276 hectares irrigated area, 425 hectares unirrigated, the 431 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 183 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Barwa has One post office (Badwa B.O) and Seventeen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Barwa has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Barwa is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3747 and has total administration over 657 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Barwa has 576 children, 297 boys and 279 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 764 (20.39%) males constitute 393 (10.49%) of the population and females 371 (9.90%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1962 (52.36%) males constitute 1011 (26.98%) of the population and females 951 (25.38%).

The workforce is 875 male, 728 female with 943 (58.83%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 654 males and 289 females. 347 males and 229 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 660 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa and Jaipur to sell khadi mats and make their living.
