Barwala is a small village of 1066 hectares in Makrana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Barwala depends on Makrana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 303.63% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Barwala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Barwala's pin code is 341505[4], and village code is 01884200. The area of Barwala is segregated as 321.56 hectares irrigated area, 661.9 hectares unirrigated, the 19.46 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 63.52 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Barwala has One post office (Barwala B.O) and Fifteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Barwala has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Barwala is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2762 and has total administration over 479 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Barwala has 399 children, 214 boys and 185 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 704 (25.49%) males constitute 371 (13.43%) of the population and females 333 (12.06%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Makrana and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
