Basna is a small village of 1689 hectares in Sojat Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Basna depends on Sojat, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 188.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Basna is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Basna's pin code is 306306[4], and village code is 02418700. The area of Basna is segregated as 259 hectares irrigated area, 963 hectares unirrigated, the 206 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 261 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Basna is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2115 and has total administration over 494 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 324 (15.32%) males constitute 172 (8.13%) of the population and females 152 (7.19%).

The workforce is 550 male, 513 female with 910 (85.61%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 502 males and 408 females. 250 males and 152 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 78 male and 204 female agricultural labor. 153 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sojat and Pali to sell ghee and make their living.
