Bayana is a small village of 161 hectares in Kotra Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bayana depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 0.97% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Bayana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bayana's pin code is 313906[4], and village code is 03092900. The area of Bayana is segregated as 2.99 hectares irrigated area, 44.07 hectares unirrigated, the 61.14 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 52.33 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Bayana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Bayana is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 381 and has total administration over 88 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 68 (17.85%) males constitute 34 (8.92%) of the population and females 34 (8.92%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 131 (34.38%) males constitute 70 (18.37%) of the population and females 61 (16.01%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
