Bhandar is a small village of 5078 hectares in Bali Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bhandar depends on Sumerpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 286.10% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Bhandar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bhandar's pin code is 306504[4], and village code is 02481000. The area of Bhandar is segregated as 688.25 hectares irrigated area, 1006.15 hectares unirrigated, the 623.51 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 2335.95 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bhandar has One Hundred Fifty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Bhandar has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Bhandar is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3835 and has total administration over 781 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bhandar has 516 children, 266 boys and 250 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 505 (13.17%) males constitute 272 (7.09%) of the population and females 233 (6.08%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 831 (21.67%) males constitute 402 (10.48%) of the population and females 429 (11.19%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1452 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1011 male, 441 female with 1044 (71.9%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 933 males and 111 females. 210 males and 15 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 76 male and 34 female agricultural labor. 408 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sumerpur and Pali to sell earthen pot and make their living.
