Bhateri is a small village of 608 hectares in Bassi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bhateri depends on Dausa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 185.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bhateri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bhateri's pin code is 303004[4], and village code is 01624900. The area of Bhateri is segregated as 261 hectares irrigated area, 215 hectares unirrigated, the 65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 67 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bhateri has One post office (Bhateri B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Bhateri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Bhateri is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1620 and has total administration over 272 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bhateri has 230 children, 135 boys and 95 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 650 (40.12%) males constitute 351 (21.67%) of the population and females 299 (18.46%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 17 (1.05%) males constitute 8 (0.49%) of the population and females 9 (0.56%).

According to a census 2011 report, 735 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 368 male, 367 female with 662 (90.07%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 353 males and 309 females. 203 males and 230 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 22 female agricultural labor. 73 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dausa and Jaipur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
