Bhawad is a small village of 2402 hectares in Osian Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bhawad depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bhawad is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Bhawad's pin code is 342037[4], and village code is 01945100. The area of Bhawad is segregated as 392.63 hectares irrigated area, 806.13 hectares unirrigated, the 930.79 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 272.71 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bhawad has One post office (Bhawad B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Bhawad has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Bhawad is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3756 and has total administration over 636 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bhawad has 663 children, 350 boys and 313 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 815 (21.70%) males constitute 412 (10.97%) of the population and females 403 (10.73%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 47 (1.25%) males constitute 22 (0.59%) of the population and females 25 (0.67%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
