Bhopa is a small village of 2172 hectares in Fatehgarh Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bhopa depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bhopa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Bhopa's pin code is 345001[4], and village code is 02068500. The area of Bhopa is segregated as 177.13 hectares unirrigated, the 1320.23 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 674.31 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bhopa has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Bhopa has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Bhopa is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 259 and has total administration over 39 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaisalmer to sell door and make their living.
