Birami is a small village of 2304 hectares in Jodhpur Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Birami depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Birami is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Birami's pin code is 342027[4], and village code is 01969100. The area of Birami is segregated as 1903.8 hectares unirrigated, the 159.55 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 241.06 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Birami has One post office (Birami B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Birami has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Birami is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2318 and has total administration over 385 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 531 (22.91%) males constitute 279 (12.04%) of the population and females 252 (10.87%).

The workforce is 657 male, 362 female with 488 (47.89%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 444 males and 44 females. 127 males and 2 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 males. 531 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
