Borda is a small village of 711 hectares in Kishanganj Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Borda depends on Mangrol, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Borda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Borda's pin code is 325224[4], and village code is 03859400. The area of Borda is segregated as 568.14 hectares irrigated area, the 30.41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 111.98 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Borda has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Borda has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Borda is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1274 and has total administration over 246 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Borda has 160 children, 94 boys and 66 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 287 (22.53%) males constitute 149 (11.70%) of the population and females 138 (10.83%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 894 (70.17%) males constitute 467 (36.66%) of the population and females 427 (33.52%).

The workforce is 325 male, 176 female with 226 (45.11%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 218 males and 8 females. 131 males and 2 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 62 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 275 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Mangrol and Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
