Bordi is a small village of 434 hectares in Tonk Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bordi depends on Tonk, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bordi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Bordi's pin code is 304001[4], and village code is 02640500. The area of Bordi is segregated as 79 hectares irrigated area, 258.85 hectares unirrigated, the 75.15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 21 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Bordi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Bordi is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 729 and has total administration over 146 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bordi has 132 children, 71 boys and 61 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 165 (22.63%) males constitute 92 (12.62%) of the population and females 73 (10.01%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 47 (6.45%) males constitute 24 (3.29%) of the population and females 23 (3.16%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
