Borta is a small village of 2303 hectares in Bhinmal Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Borta depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Borta is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell grenite stone and make their living.
