Brent James Mathein Born 1973 is an Australian Entrepreneur from New South Wales, Australia. Born to a German migrant father and Australian mother, he is the eldest of 3 siblings. He attended state public primary & high schools before attending Wollongong University where he studied Mechanical Engineering. With close links to syndicates both in Australia & across Europe, he was introduced to the Al-Zein family. This presented him with numerous legitimate business opportunities. He is regularly called "The Godfather" a name that his late father also shared.
Previous business included Health & Beauty Salons, Security, Remote Patient Monitoring & Engineering. In 2002 he founded the Southern NSW operation of Supagas[1], now a division of global gas giant Nippon Sanso Holdings Corporation.
He has financial interests in underground coal mining equipment, large scale water filtration projects and property investments. He officially retired from work in late 2014 however 12 months later decided to fill his days by returning to the workforce. He chooses a simple life Managing a construction equipment dealership.[2]
Married with a 2 sons he lives in an area known as "The Village", a seaside area located in Shellharbour, New South Wales.
Active in Freemasonry [3] for over 20 years and a current member of Lodge Kiama 35.
