Budana is a small village of 1083 hectares in Jhunjhunu Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Budana depends on BAGGAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 169.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Budana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Budana's pin code is 333023[4], and village code is 00680600. The area of Budana is segregated as 169 hectares irrigated area, 818.07 hectares unirrigated, the 61 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 34.45 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Budana has One post office (Budana B.O) and Thirteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Budana has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Budana is a census village in the district of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4034 and has total administration over 723 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Budana has 497 children, 257 boys and 240 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 960 (23.80%) males constitute 488 (12.10%) of the population and females 472 (11.70%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 177 (4.39%) males constitute 94 (2.33%) of the population and females 83 (2.06%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1928 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1111 male, 817 female with 980 (50.83%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 853 males and 127 females. 340 males and 79 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 191 male and 15 female agricultural labor. 948 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BAGGAR and Jhunjhunu to sell brick and make their living.
