Budh Nagar is a small village of 695 hectares in Osian Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Budh Nagar depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Budh Nagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Budh Nagar's pin code is 342302[4], and village code is 01959600. The area of Budh Nagar is segregated as 667.24 hectares unirrigated, the 23.99 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 3.59 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 168 male, 167 female with 280 (83.58%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 152 males and 128 females. 85 males and 100 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 15 male and 20 female agricultural labor. 55 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
