Bukar is a small village of 1393 hectares in Ramsar Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Bukar depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Bukar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Bukar's pin code is 344502[4], and village code is 02237900. The area of Bukar is segregated as 1325 hectares unirrigated, the 35 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 33 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Bukar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Bukar is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1137 and has total administration over 188 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Bukar has 299 children, 147 boys and 152 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 364 (32.01%) males constitute 201 (17.68%) of the population and females 163 (14.34%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell rope making and make their living.
