Burdi is a small village of 827 hectares in Jayal Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Burdi depends on Nagaur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Burdi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Burdi's pin code is 341022[4], and village code is 01786500. The area of Burdi is segregated as 770.45 hectares unirrigated, the 43.61 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 12.63 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Burdi has Thirteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Burdi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Burdi is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1904 and has total administration over 314 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 581 (30.51%) males constitute 300 (15.76%) of the population and females 281 (14.76%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nagaur to sell oil and make their living.
