Busra is a small village of 750 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Busra depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 161.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Busra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Busra's pin code is 313031[4], and village code is 03154300. The area of Busra is segregated as 161 hectares irrigated area, 374.41 hectares unirrigated, the 28 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 133 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Busra has One post office. Busra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Busra is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2397 and has total administration over 483 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Busra has 288 children, 166 boys and 122 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 144 (6.01%) males constitute 70 (2.92%) of the population and females 74 (3.09%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 913 (38.09%) males constitute 469 (19.57%) of the population and females 444 (18.52%).

According to a census 2011 report, 753 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 648 male, 105 female with 744 (98.8%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 644 males and 100 females. 142 males and 9 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 28 male and 23 female agricultural labor. 9 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
