Butati is a small village of 3797 hectares in Degana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Butati depends on Kuchera, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 17.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Butati is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Butati's pin code is 341514[4], and village code is 01846200. The area of Butati is segregated as 17 hectares irrigated area, 3574 hectares unirrigated, the 88.39 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 118 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Butati has One post office (Butati B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Butati has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Butati is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5369 and has total administration over 983 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 1341 (24.98%) males constitute 670 (12.48%) of the population and females 671 (12.50%).

The workforce is 1405 male, 1216 female with 1301 (49.64%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 955 males and 346 females. 428 males and 212 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 79 male and 70 female agricultural labor. 1320 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kuchera and Nagaur to sell furniture and make their living.
