Buteri is a small village of 722 hectares in Bansur Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Buteri depends on KOTPUTLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 350.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Buteri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Buteri's pin code is 301402[4], and village code is 00873200. The area of Buteri is segregated as 452 hectares irrigated area, 203 hectares unirrigated, remaining 67 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Buteri has One post office (Buteri B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Buteri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Buteri is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3385 and has total administration over 590 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Buteri has 532 children, 264 boys and 268 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 405 (11.96%) males constitute 209 (6.17%) of the population and females 196 (5.79%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 151 (4.46%) males constitute 78 (2.30%) of the population and females 73 (2.16%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KOTPUTLI and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
