Butyana is a small village of 435 hectares in Lachhmangarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Butyana depends on ALWAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Butyana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Butyana's pin code is 301021[4], and village code is 00925100. The area of Butyana is segregated as 302 hectares irrigated area, 97 hectares unirrigated, the 4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 32 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Butyana has One public telephone. Butyana has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Butyana is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2042 and has total administration over 319 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Butyana has 356 children, 195 boys and 161 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 174 (8.52%) males constitute 88 (4.31%) of the population and females 86 (4.21%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 262 (12.83%) males constitute 147 (7.20%) of the population and females 115 (5.63%).

The workforce is 548 male, 461 female with 440 (43.61%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 396 males and 44 females. 196 males and 25 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 569 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
