Carlton Rodriguez Heard (born August 21, 1993) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is also a former American football player.

Early life[edit]

Carlton was born in Athens, GA, and was raised by Trina (died 2007)^[1][2][3] and David Heard.

Football career[edit]

(2007 – 2011): Heard attended Clarke Central High School, caught 25 passes for 520 yards and made seven touchdowns. The team's record was 11-1, and they won the Georgia Region 8-AAAA title in 2010.^[4][5]

(2011 – 2013): Heard played college football for the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs, where he appeared in eight games. During his time with Gardner-Webb, he caught 31 passes for 422 yards, averaging 13.6 yards per catch, and scored one touchdown. He transferred to play for the South Carolina Gamecocks from 2013 to 2015.^[6][7]
