Chaba is a small village of 7137 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chaba depends on Jodhpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chaba is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Chaba's pin code is 342022[4], and village code is 01986200. The area of Chaba is segregated as 6535 hectares unirrigated, the 451 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 151 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Chaba has One post office (Chaba B.O) and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Chaba has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Chaba is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4136 and has total administration over 724 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 1048 male, 809 female with 720 (38.77%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 544 males and 176 females. 158 males and 135 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 1137 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
