Chadhgaon is a small village of 459 hectares in Keshoraipatan Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chadhgaon depends on KAPRAIN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chadhgaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chadhgaon's pin code is 323301[3], and village code is 02753000. The area of Chadhgaon is segregated as 393.49 hectares irrigated area, the 23.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 41.71 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chadhgaon has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chadhgaon is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 860 and has total administration over 159 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chadhgaon has 133 children, 73 boys and 60 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 124 (14.42%) males constitute 66 (7.67%) of the population and females 58 (6.74%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 237 (27.56%) males constitute 119 (13.84%) of the population and females 118 (13.72%).

The workforce is 229 male, 192 female with 412 (97.86%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 223 males and 189 females. 155 males and 147 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 54 male and 40 female agricultural labor. 9 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KAPRAIN and Bundi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
