Chandana is a small village of 2365 hectares in Jalor Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chandana depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 653.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chandana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chandana's pin code is 343024[4], and village code is 02296700. The area of Chandana is segregated as 886 hectares irrigated area, 235.1 hectares unirrigated, the 695.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 532 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chandana has One post office (Chandana B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Chandana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chandana is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3022 and has total administration over 578 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chandana has 483 children, 264 boys and 219 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 716 (23.69%) males constitute 386 (12.77%) of the population and females 330 (10.92%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 415 (13.73%) males constitute 204 (6.75%) of the population and females 211 (6.98%).

The workforce is 860 male, 573 female with 1287 (89.81%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 803 males and 484 females. 351 males and 131 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 156 male and 255 female agricultural labor. 146 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
