Chandani is a small village of 1213 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chandani depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Chandani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Chandani's pin code is 313801[4], and village code is 03160800. The area of Chandani is segregated as 20 hectares irrigated area, 76 hectares unirrigated, the 1.08 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 120.03 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chandani has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chandani is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1017 and has total administration over 184 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chandani has 231 children, 123 boys and 108 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 3 (0.29%) males constitute 2 (0.20%) of the population and females 1 (0.10%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1006 (98.92%) males constitute 522 (51.33%) of the population and females 484 (47.59%).

The workforce is 270 male, 139 female with 183 (44.74%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 177 males and 6 females. 159 males and 2 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male. 226 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
