Chandela is a small village of 1018 hectares in Abu Road Tehsil in Sirohi district, known as Rajasthani hill station of Mount Abu in Aravalli range in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chandela depends on ABU ROAD, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 16.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - , Two canals and Two springs. Chandela is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chandela's pin code is 307026[4], and village code is 02370200. The area of Chandela is segregated as 259 hectares irrigated area, 200 hectares unirrigated, the 18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 55 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chandela has One post office (Chandela B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Chandela has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Chandela is a census village in the district of Sirohi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2034 and has total administration over 3975 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chandela has 490 children, 488 boys and 63 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 36 (1.77%) males constitute 27 (1.33%) of the population and females 3481 (171.14%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1758 (86.43%) males constitute 1723 (84.71%) of the population and females 895 (44.0%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of ABU ROAD and Sirohi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
