Chandlai is a small village of 1888 hectares in Chaksu Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chandlai depends on Chaksu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 262.38% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chandlai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chandlai's pin code is 303903[4], and village code is 01630700. The area of Chandlai is segregated as 341.08 hectares irrigated area, 1433 hectares unirrigated, the 43.11 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 70.81 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chandlai has One post office (Chandlai B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Chandlai has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chandlai is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 6961 and has total administration over 1108 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chandlai has 1064 children, 570 boys and 494 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 2710 (38.93%) males constitute 1410 (20.26%) of the population and females 1300 (18.68%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 533 (7.66%) males constitute 277 (3.98%) of the population and females 256 (3.68%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2490 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1749 male, 741 female with 1894 (76.06%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1612 males and 282 females. 362 males and 155 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 135 male and 22 female agricultural labor. 596 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chaksu and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
