Chansen is a small village of 598 hectares in Asind Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chansen depends on Asind, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chansen is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chansen's pin code is 311301[4], and village code is 02834300. The area of Chansen is segregated as 40 hectares irrigated area, 202.25 hectares unirrigated, the 289.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 66.5 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chansen has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chansen is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 782 and has total administration over 203 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chansen has 149 children, 73 boys and 76 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 115 (14.71%) males constitute 52 (6.65%) of the population and females 63 (8.06%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 23 (2.94%) males constitute 13 (1.66%) of the population and females 10 (1.28%).

According to a census 2011 report, 475 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 200 male, 275 female with 327 (68.84%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 171 males and 156 females. 157 males and 150 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 148 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Asind and Bhilwara to sell wool and make their living.
