Jordan Cohen, known by his producer alias Chants, is an electronic recording artist from Madison, Wisconsin, United States. He released his first album, Onlooker in 2010 via Layered Music..[1]. This was followed by the Night After EP on NYC label Dutty Artz in 2012, and two albums for Seattle's Hush Hush Records (I Feel Like I Feel It in 2013[2] and We Are All Underwater in 2015).
In 2015, Chants produced the single Doomsday for Milwaukee rapper WebsterX, the video for which earned national press.[3][4]
Chants began an association with experimental dance music label Astral Plane Recordings in 2014, releasing four EPs (including one remix EP) and two albums (Seven Spheres and Poly Pointillism) between 2016 - 2021.[5][6][7][8] Tracks from these recordings were included in DJ mixes by Objekt[9], DNTEL [10], DJ Haram [11], Trevor Jackson [12], SHALT [13], AYA [14]and Kablam [15], among others.
