Chardana is a small village of 507 hectares in Atru Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chardana depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 355.65% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chardana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chardana's pin code is 325218[4], and village code is 03880900. The workforce is 165 male, 162 female with 152 (46.48%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 100 males and 52 females. 45 males and 29 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 14 male and 10 female agricultural labor. 175 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell brick and make their living.
