Charwas is a small village of 1765 hectares in Sojat Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Charwas depends on Sojat, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Charwas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Charwas's pin code is 306104[4], and village code is 02412500. The area of Charwas is segregated as 12 hectares irrigated area, 1123 hectares unirrigated, the 594 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Charwas has One post office (Chadwas B.O) and Seven public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Charwas has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Charwas is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1806 and has total administration over 371 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Charwas has 263 children, 141 boys and 122 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 316 (17.50%) males constitute 151 (8.36%) of the population and females 165 (9.14%).

The workforce is 457 male, 222 female with 515 (75.85%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 438 males and 77 females. 358 males and 41 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 26 male and 28 female agricultural labor. 164 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sojat and Pali to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
