Chatarpura is a small village of 1086 hectares in Bansur Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chatarpura depends on KOTPUTLI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chatarpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chatarpura's pin code is 301024[4], and village code is 00876400. The area of Chatarpura is segregated as 698 hectares irrigated area, 352 hectares unirrigated, remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chatarpura has One post office (Chatarpura B.O) and Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Chatarpura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chatarpura is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5581 and has total administration over 953 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chatarpura has 933 children, 483 boys and 450 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 460 (8.24%) males constitute 242 (4.34%) of the population and females 218 (3.91%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 604 (10.82%) males constitute 319 (5.72%) of the population and females 285 (5.11%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2862 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1525 male, 1337 female with 1780 (62.19%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1226 males and 554 females. 790 males and 327 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 100 male and 134 female agricultural labor. 1082 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KOTPUTLI and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
