Chhajara is a small village of 1112 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhajara depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhajara is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
