Chhajara is a small village of 1112 hectares in Sanchore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhajara depends on SANCHORE, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhajara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Chhajara's pin code is 343041[4], and village code is 02324700. The area of Chhajara is segregated as 162 hectares irrigated area, 829 hectares unirrigated, the 96 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 25 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Chhajara has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chhajara is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1693 and has total administration over 280 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chhajara has 312 children, 175 boys and 137 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 280 (16.54%) males constitute 145 (8.56%) of the population and females 135 (7.97%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 243 (14.35%) males constitute 133 (7.86%) of the population and females 110 (6.50%).

The workforce is 463 male, 429 female with 699 (78.36%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 445 males and 254 females. 269 males and 126 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 101 male and 116 female agricultural labor. 193 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of SANCHORE and Jalor to sell ghee and make their living.
