Chhali is a small village of 1226 hectares in Gogunda Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhali depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 10.10% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhali is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chhali's pin code is 313705[4], and village code is 03082500. The area of Chhali is segregated as 55.2 hectares irrigated area, 265.86 hectares unirrigated, the 109.33 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 171.49 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chhali has One post office. Chhali has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chhali is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1506 and has total administration over 346 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chhali has 265 children, 142 boys and 123 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 13 (0.86%) males constitute 9 (0.60%) of the population and females 4 (0.27%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1087 (72.18%) males constitute 543 (36.06%) of the population and females 544 (36.12%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell soap stone and make their living.
