Chhapra is a small village of 4288 hectares in Jayal Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhapra depends on Nagaur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhapra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Chhapra's pin code is 341022[4], and village code is 01787600. The area of Chhapra is segregated as 4074 hectares unirrigated, the 74.09 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 140 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chhapra has One post office (Deh S.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Chhapra has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Chhapra is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3381 and has total administration over 640 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chhapra has 488 children, 268 boys and 220 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1280 (37.86%) males constitute 681 (20.14%) of the population and females 599 (17.72%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nagaur to sell oil and make their living.
