Chhapri is a small village of 707 hectares in Nawa Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhapri depends on Kuchaman City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhapri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Chhapri's pin code is 341519[4], and village code is 01891600. The area of Chhapri is segregated as 258 hectares irrigated area, 215 hectares unirrigated, the 150 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chhapri has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Chhapri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Chhapri is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1786 and has total administration over 355 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 676 (37.85%) males constitute 373 (20.88%) of the population and females 303 (16.97%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 18 (1.01%) males constitute 10 (0.56%) of the population and females 8 (0.45%).

The workforce is 463 male, 336 female with 516 (64.58%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 362 males and 154 females. 302 males and 132 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 33 male and 21 female agricultural labor. 283 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kuchaman City and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
