Chhori is a small village of 703 hectares in Pirawa Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chhori depends on Pirawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 390.71% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Chhori is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Chhori's pin code is 326513[4], and village code is 04107600. The area of Chhori is segregated as 390.71 hectares irrigated area, 210.73 hectares unirrigated, the 45.6 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 55.54 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Chhori has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chhori is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1056 and has total administration over 200 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Chhori has 137 children, 70 boys and 67 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 242 (22.92%) males constitute 122 (11.55%) of the population and females 120 (11.36%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 22 (2.08%) males constitute 12 (1.14%) of the population and females 10 (0.95%).

The workforce is 306 male, 296 female with 595 (98.84%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 303 males and 292 females. 227 males and 226 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 66 male and 64 female agricultural labor. 7 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pirawa and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
