Chinnoo is a small village of 11414 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Chinnoo depends on PHALODI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Chinnoo is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Canal. Chinnoo's pin code is 345028[4], and village code is 02047500. The area of Chinnoo is segregated as 240 hectares unirrigated, the 6213 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 4956 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Chinnoo has One post office (Chinu B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Chinnoo has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.
The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Chinnoo is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2567 and has total administration over 437 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Chinnoo has 491 children, 255 boys and 236 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 366 (14.26%) males constitute 200 (7.79%) of the population and females 166 (6.47%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 11 (0.43%) males constitute 6 (0.23%) of the population and females 5 (0.19%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 1158 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 747 male, 411 female with 1139 (98.36%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 738 males and 401 females. 683 males and 388 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 23 male and 7 female agricultural labor. 19 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of PHALODI and Jaisalmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
