Dabok is a small village of 987 hectares in Mavli Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dabok depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 200.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Dabok is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dabok's pin code is 313022[4], and village code is 03063500. The area of Dabok is segregated as 261 hectares irrigated area, 504 hectares unirrigated area, the 101 hectares area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 121 hectares area not available for cultivation.

Dabok has One post office and Two Hundred Forty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dabok has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Dabok is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5087 and has total administration over 957 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dabok has 634 children, 345 boys and 289 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 310 (6.09%) males constitute 150 (2.95%) of the population and females 160 (3.15%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1071 (21.05%) males constitute 526 (10.34%) of the population and females 545 (10.71%).

The workforce is 1339 male, 619 female with 1529 (78.09%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1156 males and 373 females. 205 males and 166 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 109 male and 66 female agricultural labor. 429 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur and Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
