Dabri is a small village of 229 hectares in Lachhmangarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dabri depends on GOVINDGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dabri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dabri's pin code is 301604[4], and village code is 00922000. The area of Dabri is segregated as 87 hectares irrigated area, 122 hectares unirrigated, remaining 20 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dabri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Dabri is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 923 and has total administration over 152 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dabri has 230 children, 134 boys and 96 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 82 (8.88%) males constitute 47 (5.09%) of the population and females 35 (3.79%).

The workforce is 247 male, 212 female with 394 (85.84%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 218 males and 176 females. 75 males and 114 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 21 male and 52 female agricultural labor. 65 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GOVINDGARH and Alwar to sell rope making and make their living.
