Dadiya is a small village of 3324 hectares in Kishangarh Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dadiya depends on Kishangarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 244.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dadiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dadiya's pin code is 305813[4], and village code is 02496500. The area of Dadiya is segregated as 254.15 hectares irrigated area, 1336.2 hectares unirrigated, the 923.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 810.55 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dadiya has One post office (Dadia B.O) and Ten public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dadiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Dadiya is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4567 and has total administration over 876 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dadiya has 721 children, 377 boys and 344 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 735 (16.09%) males constitute 394 (8.63%) of the population and females 341 (7.47%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 263 (5.76%) males constitute 139 (3.04%) of the population and females 124 (2.72%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2296 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1268 male, 1028 female with 2244 (97.74%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1253 males and 991 females. 677 males and 601 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 294 male and 298 female agricultural labor. 52 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kishangarh and Ajmer to sell earthen pot and make their living.
