Dagas is a small village of 482 hectares in Banera Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dagas depends on Shahpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 38.21% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dagas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dagas's pin code is 311408[4], and village code is 02825400. The area of Dagas is segregated as 108.14 hectares irrigated area, 153.45 hectares unirrigated, the 155.26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 65.41 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dagas is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 816 and has total administration over 161 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dagas has 155 children, 77 boys and 78 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 8 (0.98%) males constitute 6 (0.74%) of the population and females 2 (0.25%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 370 (45.34%) males constitute 191 (23.41%) of the population and females 179 (21.94%).

The workforce is 207 male, 202 female with 241 (58.92%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 149 males and 92 females. 106 males and 68 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 8 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 168 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shahpura and Bhilwara to sell ghee and make their living.
