Dal is a small village of 731 hectares in Salumbar Tehsil in UDAIPUR district in the state of RAJASTHAN, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dal depends on Salumbar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 6.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dal's pin code is 313027[4], and village code is 03233900. The area of Dal is segregated as 50 hectares irrigated area, 516 hectares unirrigated, the 65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 100 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dal has One post office (Dal B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dal has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Dal is a census village in the district of UDAIPUR, RAJASTHAN. The village has a total population of 1280 and has total administration over 280 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 276 (21.56%) males constitute 142 (11.09%) of the population and females 134 (10.47%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 145 (11.33%) males constitute 76 (5.94%) of the population and females 69 (5.39%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Salumbar and UDAIPUR to sell bricks making and make their living.
