Dawani is a small village of 181 hectares in Behror Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dawani depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 111.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dawani is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dawani's pin code is 301709[4], and village code is 00762500. The area of Dawani is segregated as 111 hectares irrigated area, 39 hectares unirrigated, the 14 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 17 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dawani is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1115 and has total administration over 231 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 364 male, 356 female with 415 (57.64%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 262 males and 153 females. 162 males and 126 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 5 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 305 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BEHROR and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
