Deoriya is a small village of 1151 hectares in Pachpadra Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Deoriya depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Deoriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Deoriya's pin code is 344026[4], and village code is 02155700. The area of Deoriya is segregated as 1063.17 hectares unirrigated, the 27.07 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 60.27 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Deoriya has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Deoriya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Deoriya is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1910 and has total administration over 309 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Deoriya has 386 children, 187 boys and 199 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 243 (12.72%) males constitute 124 (6.49%) of the population and females 119 (6.23%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 66 (3.46%) males constitute 33 (1.73%) of the population and females 33 (1.73%).

The workforce is 502 male, 413 female with 477 (52.13%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 440 males and 37 females. 153 males and 21 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 438 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell salt and make their living.
