Deoriya is a small village of 1048 hectares in Raipur Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Deoriya depends on Gulabpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 21.77% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Deoriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Deoriya's pin code is 311805[4], and village code is 02807200. The area of Deoriya is segregated as 76.87 hectares irrigated area, 199 hectares unirrigated, the 606.59 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 165.24 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Deoriya has One post office (Deoria B.O) and One public telephone. Deoriya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Deoriya is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 749 and has total administration over 158 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Deoriya has 136 children, 68 boys and 68 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 171 (22.83%) males constitute 84 (11.21%) of the population and females 87 (11.62%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 53 (7.08%) males constitute 29 (3.87%) of the population and females 24 (3.20%).

According to a census 2011 report, 428 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 210 male, 218 female with 353 (82.48%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 174 males and 179 females. 158 males and 152 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 75 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Gulabpura and Bhilwara to sell ghee and make their living.
