Devnagar is a small village of 1870 hectares in Phalodi Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Devnagar depends on Pipar City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Devnagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Devnagar's pin code is 342312[4], and village code is 01953500. The area of Devnagar is segregated as 50 hectares irrigated area, 293 hectares unirrigated, the 90 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1437 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Devnagar has One post office (Ridmalsar B.O) and Two public telephones. Devnagar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Devnagar is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1298 and has total administration over 220 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Devnagar has 219 children, 96 boys and 123 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 381 (29.35%) males constitute 195 (15.02%) of the population and females 186 (14.33%).

The workforce is 355 male, 356 female with 348 (48.95%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 304 males and 44 females. 142 males and 17 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 19 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 363 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pipar City and Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
