Dewan is a small village of 1737 hectares in Rohat Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dewan depends on Pali, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dewan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Dewan's pin code is 306421[4], and village code is 02425000. The area of Dewan is segregated as 96.98 hectares irrigated area, 965.12 hectares unirrigated, the 18.65 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 656.15 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dewan is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1418 and has total administration over 253 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 354 (24.96%) males constitute 189 (13.33%) of the population and females 165 (11.64%).

The workforce is 369 male, 297 female with 474 (71.17%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 334 males and 140 females. 158 males and 49 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 92 male and 78 female agricultural labor. 192 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pali to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
