Dewandi is a small village of 635 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Dewandi depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 66.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Dewandi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Dewandi's pin code is 344044[4], and village code is 02163000. The area of Dewandi is segregated as 66 hectares irrigated area, 224 hectares unirrigated, the 219.84 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 125 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Dewandi has One post office (Devandi B.O) and Six public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Dewandi has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Dewandi is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1138 and has total administration over 164 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Dewandi has 181 children, 93 boys and 88 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 281 (24.69%) males constitute 156 (13.71%) of the population and females 125 (10.98%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 108 (9.49%) males constitute 61 (5.36%) of the population and females 47 (4.13%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
